As of December 31, 2024, the company recorded 3.35 billion daily active people (DAP), signifying a 5% increase from the prior year. This metric includes users who interact daily with Meta’s key products: Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, or WhatsApp.
The consistent surge in daily user engagement mirrors Meta’s performance in 2024. In the first quarter, Meta reported 3.24 billion DAP, a 7% year-over-year increase. This trend continued into the second quarter, with DAP rising to 3.27 billion, maintaining the 7% growth rate. By the third quarter, DAP reached 3.29 billion, reflecting a 6% increase from the same period in 2023.
This sustained growth in daily active users highlights Meta’s expanding global presence and the deepening integration of its platforms into users’ daily lives. It underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing user experience and introducing features that resonate with a diverse audience.
Alongside user engagement, Meta’s financial performance in 2024 demonstrated substantial growth. The company reported a 21% revenue increase for the fourth quarter, amounting to $48.39 billion, up from $40.1 billion in the corresponding period the previous year. Net income also experienced a notable upsurge, reaching $20.83 billion, marking a 49% increase from $14.02 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023.
